What color is your car? There's a TiAg bumper cover with some of the meshes listed on here for $175. link

There's also the pre-facelift style bumper with a lip for $150 link

Even if you get a used M bumper in your color, it will still be fairly expensive to do a replacement. I'm currently doing one on my 3.0i; expect to pay $300+ for the accessories alone from Tischer.

Lastly, you could look at going with an OEM aero bumper.

[dark twisties and front tires are almost bald] turn came up too fast on him, started understeering, slammed the brakes, and "hooniganed" off-road?

My sister ran over a center median curb in her e46 328 and bent a shock tower. Check your suspension while you're in there.

I guarantee you that every single person on this board has driven like a jackass at some point. So, OP, don't be too hard on yourself. And spectacular visual aid by the way haha.

No excuses and just "here's what happened and how much to fix it". No one was hurt (other than the car and perhaps a bit of pride). So there's not much to say since most of us have had something like this happen at one time or another as others have said.

The satellite view plus car and thought bubbles is priceless!

Looks like other forum members have given options and thoughts on fixing it (and finding parts and costs). Any questions you still need answered on that front barkles?

Check the following in RealOEM with your VIN. I just used a genaric 2006 3.0i but it should be the same.

Also, with a BMWCCA discount, you might get the parts cheaper from the dealer than from Tischer or somewhere else if you check the difference between tax and shipping.

New 'Primed bumper trim' is about $450. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...29&hg=51&fg=15

Bottom cover and wheel housing cover, piece one and six: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...51&hg=51&fg=75

Air duct, piece one: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...63&hg=51&fg=75

Shit happens man. Live and learn....

edit:

Now that I have looked at it better, there are some more smaller parts you may have to get but you will not know until you get the bumper cover off the car. The temp sensor is probably good unless the wires are ripped out.

Except that would be oversteer, not so? Z4 does tend to be a bit tail happy!

P.S. Cool pic!

Nice play by play picture. How long did that take you to put together? Haha.

Hope for the best for your car. My CEL just came on for God knows what reason and I am dreading what that is going to cost me... so you made me feel a little better
