I test fitted the ZHP Knob....now its stuck.
And so I am left a ZHP Knob that wont come off.....I put it in fourth and had a foot in either passenger foot well and pulled for dear life and it wont come off.....Id be ok with this if I didnt test fit it with out the leather boot on.....FML. i didnt even push down hard when I went to test fit, all I did was allowed it to gently "click" into place with minimal effort and now that thing is Fort Knox tight......wtf.
![]() Any help would be most appreciated. Thanx |

Just keep pulling. Make sure you're pulling straight in relation to the shifter. I did mine in 6th gear from the passenger seat. I've tried putting something in between like a pillow (for me it was 2 balled up sweatshirts I had laying around) but I still punched myself in the face. Next time I'm gonna wear my helmet.

Don't pull up with your arms.
Get right over it & with arms extended, use your torso & legs. ...no worry about punching yourself that way either.

I had a little of hard time removing my OEM as well. What I did was placed a pillow on the passenger seat, a wooden boar to have a level surface to the center console. Lean down and grab the shifter as I was doing bicepts curve and lift it straight up. Give this a trial

I leave mine in Neutral and pull straight up with both hands. It is not that hard at all. I have even seen the dealers doing it WRONG. If you have some strength its quite easy. ![]() |
