Finally someone appreciates the purpose of sharing the knowledge.

I'm glad you did some research and found the answer for your self.

Now, the same way you can make cool changes to your car.... make sure you don't go too crazy with it as you could mess things up.

Just so you know the software is available on the internet for free, so all you really need is the OBD II adapter with the USB connection / cable.... in other words you ca do this for about $15.oo

Dammmit that was supposed to be your Christmas present!

PS, make sure you open the OBD adapter and bridge the two pins ( 7&8 )... and you'll be fine.

All of this started back in January when asked a Austin BMW rep to enable my clown nose.... his answer: You need a $500 bmw alarm first PLUS about $200 for labor. Uff classic!

Anyhow - enjoy!

I'm still curious if anyone knows why no one makes an LED bulb for our angel eyes.

Jeff,
Thanks for the scanner info. Just got it and it already more than paid for itself

Best of all, I can use it on both my X5 and Z4MC

BTW...according to the scanner, my MC thinks that it's an MR

Hey bud... I'm glad you were able to get it to work etc...

I honestly don't know if it works with other models.... I doubt you will damage anything just by connecting it.

If the scanner picks up the vin # and other info I would try it to enable/disable something simple like disable-ling the turn signals when Unlocking the car.... if that works then you should be ok.... but don't take my word for it.... I honestly don't know.

Good luck -
