Z4 Door Panel Removal DIY

I've searched around and cannot seem to find a 'DIY' for removing the door panel on the passenger side. The window in my wife's car seems to be off track or loose, heck I can even raise it up in the channel, it goes down and then binds up when coming back up.

Is this likely a bad, regulator or could it be possible I could just get the panel off and see if perhaps the assembly has come loose and tighten it all back up, is this a common problem?

If this is a dealer fix any idea what the going rate is?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ron Styger has a DIY over on Bimmerfest, search on "damplifier pro" and you'll see his DIY for removing the door and insulating them.

I would start looking for a indy shop to have work done on your car. They will be almost half the price. http://www.bimmershops.com/

From what I remember, you remove the door handle cover by sliding it down. Then there are 2 star bit bolts in the handle, and one behind the little airbag logo. After that, you pull on the bottom, and then up

Wow, that's a lot of steps not comfortable with this one heading over to a Indy shop to have this one done knowing me it would cost me more in the end because I would probably break something if I tried it.

Thanks everybody for the help

Definitely not for the timid to remove the door, and those clips in the door are really "one-time" use, plus, the new clips have rubber gaskets to eliminate noise and creaks, which I replaced all of them. The bear is finding that butyl tape for the lining of the door and you must have a trim removal kit, like the 6 piece from Bavauto, it's invaluable for removing the brittle plastic bits from the BMWs.
