Imrunning 17 inch tires why does it feel faster?

was wondering aside from weight why is the car feeling a bit quicker to redline

Similar question last night. See this answer. Cliffs--if the tire diameter is less than stock you've got more wheel torque.

17 tires may actually be heavier than 18s assuming thicker sidewall. It's probably the torque factor unless your rims are much lighter than before.

Rotational inertia with a smaller tire will increase torque

Tc Kline ran 17's on there race car. Probably due to weight and lower center of gravity and it makes it very easy run different heights for different tracks.
