My small project

Hey guys. I'm planning on putting some mods after a year of owning this car. I've spent a lot on my G and I think I got the most of it without going force induction. I want to do the same with the M Coupe. My biggest problem with modding the G was doing everything out of order. Here I am with a list and hopefully you guys can help me prioritize the performance mods and spiffy mods.

07 M Coupe w/ ~24k

1st - time to get rid of the oe tires. I'm thinking about buying my buddy's 370z 19" rays and sticking some toyo t1r on them
2nd - 3.9 or 4.1 diff (i can't find the 4.1 diff, I found the Dinan 3.9)
3rd - euro headers
4th - rpi scoop and intake (any good intake?)
5th - ess tune

I didn't include exhaust because I think the gain is negligible and usually its just for the tone. What do you guys think about my list?

Thanks - Kream

If thats how u feel about exhaust might as well drop the RPI scoop and intake from your list as well coz ur not gonna feel those.
Id maybe do the diff after the headers and ESS tune, who knows you might be real happy with those and if not then u still got the big mod left.

Good choices

Leave the stock intake in it works

It's really up to you, since its your car.

I feel like if you want to improve air flow out, than you should improve airflow in. Just remember that the RPI scoop is only gonna help you out at 60+ mph. I'm not sure intakes are the solution, which is why I'd go the extra-mile and replace the airbox I'd agree that the exhaust sounds/works fine as is. You might want to take a look at an x-pipe in addition to the headers. You may not see an improvement on stock sofrware, but the ESS tune should help with that.

Do you know where I can find some x-pipes? Or this is a custom job?

Supersprint X-Pipe is what I have. You can get it from **********s, LeatherZ and a million other places. I think it is 600.00ish. I know some folks like the BMS xpipe so you might check that out too.

BTW, I love my exhaust for the sound alone. You should hear one before you decide against it altogether.

I understand aftermarket exhaust sounds really nice. I've looked up a lot of M exhausts. But my concern is the same with my G and that is a lot of aftermarket exhaust drones. Which is why I'm thinking of just installing headers, xpipe, and keep OE exhaust. I'm not sure how it would sound but I'm assuming it will be a bit raspier.

Oh crap! You're right. I'm going to have to look for something different. Maybe the TE37.

I have Volk RE30s. I don't have mine mounted yet but they look killer on this car.

RE30 are nice. A lot of G37s are riding them so I'm looking for something "different". I have 20" Formula Silver GTCs on my G37. http://taithevu.com/images/DSC00709.jpg . I would love to have gloss black GTC on my M but I think they are too heavy. Therefor, I'm leaning towards the monoforged Rays. Where did your order your Volk if you don't mind me asking?
