Is the carpet in one peice or is it more.

At least 2 pieces. If you look at where the carpet meets the door sill, you will find 1 of the seams there. It runs laterally across the cockpit, and the seams are nice (there is a fair bit of overlap).

I assume that this means that the console and seats on both sides need to be removed to replace the carpet.
