here is a dyno of the first US car to get the software. The owner of the car is VERY happy with the way the car drives and was all smiles after he drove it for the first time . I asked him to post up a review and give his impressions of how the car drives now, so hopefully he will.

This is a bone stock 2008 Z4M with about 2k miles on it. This is the first and only mod on this car. The dynos were done within days of each other after the car was driven for adaptation. all the corrections were done for temp changes etc...

I am trying to work out a deal for a few who have asked me about a group buy.
If you have any questions let me know.

Not to bad but still alot of money for not alot of gains imo. Would be sweet for like $500.00. Thats what it cost me to chip my audi and I got 45hp and 80 ft/lbs. Gotta love boost

FI software and NA software are much much different. getting 10-15hp on a S54 engine is impressive with just software. On a FI car you are right HP can be added with little effort and little money. One thing to remember is not just HP gains alone but also how the car drives and having a DME that will allow your other mods to be noticed. Acceleration and engine response is also what this software was designed to improve on and a dyno alone wont show everything you have to gain.

Not sure if you have shopped performance mods for S54 motors much Dieselino but the ones that make power all come with a price

I agree with every you are saying. I know you cant compare a FI car to NA car. This is my second car with S54 so Im familiar with it. Which is why I hate how expensive everything is for the S54 and you dont get much gains. To me anything more then $500 is alot for an ECU reflash. But to your point there isnt much options. The ESS supercharger is definately the way to go. Go big or go home

HP shouldn't be the reason to buy the M Coupe. But, there is more to be had if you're willing to spend the money...

Love the Mid Range increase, but the top end is kinda sad looking...

people forget the fact that that dyno is on a totally stock car. When i ask ESS to make my software im gonna get them to make maps for my scoop/filter/headers/exhaust. IM sure there will be a much more power increase with the right performance mods.

Correct the software is designed to be mapped for mods and help improve the addition of them.

The other thing to keep in mind about dynos is that it is very easy to show gains. If we would have taken the best ESS run VS the average stock run we could have showed about a 20hp gain. I wanted the dyno to reflect true real world gains not exaggerated advertisement gains so we did the average of the two sessions. ESS is one of the few companies that does not try to "fluff" performance gains they actually are very conservative when quoting power. Make sure when considering software that the person tuning it can write code for different mods. Like MMMazing said software should be designed to enhance the car its going on and be able to be changed for future mods not just a cookie cutter one size fits all.

I am looking for someone planning to go to Mfest this year with there Z4M that would be interested in doing a sponsorship deal on ESS software. If things go as planned we are hoping to have a car there that we can show along with the others we are bringing. Our local test car here cant make it.

Shoot me a PM in interested.
