Arrow new Z4 interior spied up-close (and new spy photos of exterior)

This is our best look yet at the interior of BMW's next Z4.
Although it's still partially shrouded by a dash cover, some
evolutionary design changes are still very apparent. A new steering
wheel retains the spirit of the current Z4, but it has been redesigned
to make room for more wheel-controlled buttons. The outer HVAC vent
has also been repositioned to border the new Z4's instrument binnacle,
while the headlight switch moves wider and lower on the dash face.

Taking a closer look at the center console reveals a curious
omission: there is no sign of an emergency brake lever. The current
Z4 has an e-brake that reaches just aft of the shift lever, gobbling
up important elbow room in a very snug interior. The center console
on the new Z4 is definitely significantly cleaner, with room for a
proper arm rest and a couple of little cubby holes for oddments.
There is clearly no room for an e-brake handle between the seats and
the transmission tunnel, so BMW's solution is an open question. We
suspect that BMW may have be employing some sort of electronic e-brake
solution in the guise of the small silver device resting flat behind
the shift lever. The new design frees up important interior space for
a comfortable passenger living space. But is it really living if you
can't yank the handle for a proper e-brake turn?

Is that an electronic parking brake, right behind the gear box?

If you look really closely, you can see that there is the universal "P" (for parking brake) written on the top of the lever.

You will also see the Active Cruise control stalk, looks like they will be offering that too. Wonder it it will be of the stop and go variety, or the simpler one from the E90...

I hope cars equipped with AC don't come with BMW's current Active Cruise radar sensor... it would be a shame for the Z4, those sensors are realy ugly and would be a little brutal on the front of what looks to be such an elegant car

On another note, notice also that the cut-out for the iDrive controller next to the park brake looks the right shape and size for the new iDrive system seen on other posts on these forums.

The interior shows that the new Z4 will be much bigger than the current one. Personally this would rule it out for me, as the current Z4 is just about as big as a sports car can get before becoming a grand tourer.

It's interesting how different the 2 interiors are. In this link, the driver side air vent is oval shaped, and it doesn't look like the gauge cluster has the oval rings. It also is fitted with the 3 series steering wheel. Maye the car in this link is an older prototype.

The photo of the interior at bimmerfile is of an older prototype I believe because I saw that photo maybe 4 months ago.

EDIT: So I am almost positive I found that pic at bimmerforums.com However, I don't have a link to the post and do not have the time to search for it. I also think they had 2 shots of the interior. I think it was about 4 months ago but could be as many as 6 moths ago. I think I searched for something like 2010 z4 prototype or mule... You guys can go find it now if you wish, sorry i just am too busy.

Well it could be a the "newer" of the pics, but like I said I saw those pics months ago. The only reason I remember is because I thought it was so odd seeing that girl with her eyes blacked out as if in a medical exam picture. For all I know both sets of pics of the interior could be months old. I wish I could find the post of those pics to show you guys.
