Sorry, been a bit busy with work and haven't been able to do the mod yet. It looks like I might wind up doing 6-day weeks another couple of weeks, but I've got all the parts and I'm hoping I'll get a chance to try the mod later this week. I'll definitely update other 2003 owners when I make the attempt.
