We are trying to get 3.5" tips in there. The tips we were using were straight out of out opel and porsche exhaust which helped keep the cost down. Our initial prototype yeilded 19-20hours of labor for just the tips alone so they really are nice. The tips are actually 8 pipes (4 per side). The inside pipes are flared out then the edges are welded to the outside pipe/tip. The welds are then grinded down and then polished. The sound and look is there. Our main concern now is just the power. |

Yes we have done dyno testing. We ALWAYS dyno test EVERYTHING. Thats why we are looking for a few more local Z4s to dyno so we can confirm the results on multiple cars and not just one car. At this time, it is the rear section only. The X-pipe is not always going to be beneficial for all cars. I think its a great way to "market" something since the X-pipe bandwagon has been full for a while. We tried an x-pipe for the M5 last year and it dropped about 15-20whp. |

Its all good man. I know you are busy pimpin. haha. I gave the stock mufflers to Q so hes much closer to you than we are. If you can, please swing by his shop and he will swap them out so I can get that jig made up as soon as we confirm the dyno numbers with another car.

I think the exhaust looks sick . Would the cans be able to to bolt up to the super sprint x pipe. If so i would definitely rock it.

The rear will bolt to the stock flanges. If the SS x-pipe bolts to the stock rear mufflers, than it might bolt on with no problem. There are no guarantees of performance with the SS x-pipe though. |
