If you bought NEW, how many km's were on the clock
Just curious: If you bought your Z4 new, how many km's were on the clock when you received delivery?
[Not talking about demo models, or cars that were used for demos ... more interested in cases where you ordered one to your spec. ] |

not my Z, but I bought my FJ cruiser new with about 300 miles on it. Reason being they drove it down from Boston to my dealership as it was the only one meeting my needs. Bottom line is there should be less than 20 miles on a new car unless there is a valid reason.

When I got my one in 07 (ordered to spec), it arrived with 37km on the clock. I remember getting upset about it at the time ... phoned around ... and heard all sorts of stories that anything up to 75km was 'normal' due to moving from ship yard to pre-delivery clean, PDI etc --- but I always suspected they probably took someone for a test drive in it. Which isn't quite right. Issue came to mind because of this thread:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=581727 about some guy doing the pre-delivery inspection in a new 1M ... taking his friends for a joy ride and revvvving it pretty ... and then making the mistake of posting it to youtube Caught. |

Anything over 10miles and someone DEFINITELY drove it around. Even 10 is stretching it far, which is why I say definitely. The cars don't move more then 2 miles loading in Germany, getting on a ship, and unloading in the us onto a trailer to your dealership, that's if you're in the US. But since you're UK it's the same thing since the z4 comes from the US.
Figure in the other 8 MAYBE if they had to do repairs from transportation damage (which they don't have to tell you about) and it had to move in and out through the port facilities where they repair them. 37km is ridiculous.
