Update on my Z4M Coupe Mods
Finally I have my M ready for summer !!
First thanks to all of you for the information you've made available to me!! Here's what I've done since last year: - TMS SS brake hoses, Camber bolts, Wheel Stud Kit & caliper bushing kit - Hawk HP Plus brake pads - Apex Arc group buy wheels (18x9 w 245/40/18 tires & 18x10 w 285/35/18 V12 tires) - APR gb front splitter - Rear lip spoiler - Finally (best for last) ESS S/C On order-3d design gauge pod (with boost, oil pressure & coolant temp) Special Thanks to Plantirion, Beedub, Shipkiller, fr8tdog and Crfine 88 for the information provided that made my decision very informative and easy. First track day after break-in was yesterday and the increased power is awesome - Have to learn how to drive it all over now !! Tracked it again today --Wow Can't wait to get to Calabogie in July - Will post photos and video of yesterday at the track soon( son has it on his I-phone ) Shipkiller - are you having any front tire wear issues with "O" toe and -2.5 camber? mine are wearing as if the front wheels are towed "in"-I think it may be the tires because I've checked the alignment on 2 machines-Any suggestions? You should use a pyrometer and check the outer, middle and inner temp of the fronts as you come off the track. This will help to understand how the fronts are set up.

I used 38 ft/ 34 rr pressure hot yesterday and it seemed to have more grip. I'm going to remove the wheels today and have a good look at the tires and also see how the Hawk brake pads look after 3 track days .

This is Graham (Waynes Son)
a_riddler is correct, I'm using Harry's GPS Laptimer Pro. - Here is actual site, best app for 15ish bucks. It records every 2nd lap with video and GPS for every lap. http://web.me.com/hschlangmann/LapTi...page/Home.html It's pretty crazy to see how fast he pulls away on the straighter sections. I'm running RS3's and he has V12's so my stickier tires are helping my corner speeds, but the ESS adds sooo much power I totally suggest it for anyone thinking about it, its quiet and looks so clean. I have a scosche mount that has a flexible neck, i have it offset from center, and bent so you don't see the mount. I've spent a TON on mounts and this is the best i've used (walmart, $25 in canada) its the mount from: http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/1594 and the neck from: http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/1863 |

How is the 285/35/18 in rear working out for you? I'm thinking about going the same setup on APEX ARC-8 as well, tires will me either semi-slick or full slicks ...

285/35 tires
Quote:
which is from agressive driving on our local track which has a rough surface and 11 turns over its 2.5 km . On normal roads no noise from rubbing and also at Calabogie in July i didn't notice any rubbing. the extra bite from the footprint on the 285's make it worth it ( 10.1 inch contact vs 9.1 inch for stock 255s . Also last year I have DSC issues with stock tires but this year no issues even with the extra power of the S/C. I am using Hankook RS3's -very pleased . |

Your collection is what I am looking to complete. I have the roadster and the X3, just need the ZMC or Si Coupe :-)

M coupe
Look for the M Coupe -you won't be disappointed . My first Z was a Z4 3.0l Roadster -then moved to the M (roadster and Coupe) . Coupe is a great track car stock and only improved with mods you choose to suit personal taste.
