Quick question..CCC or CIC?
Owner of a 2008 BMW Z4 3.0i. How do I know if it's a CCC or CIC?
To be honest, I have no idea what the difference is, I just need to know for the Nav discs. |

Should be CCC. CIC came with the 2009 idrive and NAV units seen in the 3series and on. Much better than CCC in my experiences. good luck.

NAV DVD PN --> 65 90 2 199 841 -- CCC has the nav drive installed in the dash below the stereo CIC does not use DVD's at all. they are updated through coding @ BMW only.

CCC and CIC is all iDrive which the e85/e86 cars never had, the Z4 had the same nav setup the entire run, and as far as I know the Z4 was the last car from BMW to come with the MKIV nav., maybe the last one with iBus?

Two new questions (sorry I'm new and couldn't find the answer to either).
1. In the attachment, I have another button similar to button 1 above that compartment, what does it do? I push it and nothing happens? 2. I need to get my Bluetooth code, which is apparently on the TCU. I've tried opening the trunk and I'm lost at that point. Is there a step by step way getting to the TCU? Layman's guide? I want to pair my phone Ontario driving rules are strict with cell phones in hand while driving. Any help is appreciated! |

The button thing above the storage compartment is to manually unlatch the softtop, I'm pretty sure on 2006+ cars they removed that annoying squeaking latch and it now does nothing.
