I think you actually need a couple - one for the lower torque items (spark plugs, etc) and one for the higher torque items (wheel bolts @ 85 ft-lbs, etc).

Do a search on Bimmerfest and you'll find good info from well informed Bimwads
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...ecommendations Agree with KenTenn. You need two torque wrenches; a 1/2 inch drive with a range of 20 to 150 foot/pounds like this one http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...Itemnumber=239 or if money is no object go for this one http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=46691 I've used the ATD 101 for a number of years as my garage and track torque wrench http://shoptoolsshoptools.com/shopexd.asp?id=1547 and a 3/8 inch drive in the 5 to 45 foot/pound range for spark plugs, oil drain plugs, oil cannister bolt, caliper guide pins, etc.) http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...Itemnumber=807 or this one if you want to spend a lot of money http://shoptoolsshoptools.com/shopexd.asp?id=24524 It helps to have the torque specifications. Jim is correct. The TIS manual is the best option. It is a little difficult to navigate until you get used to it, but it really helps.
