One more example of why I'm perfectly satisfied with my stock lights no matter how many times my coworker with a fancy neon-lighted, LED'd Genesis says "dude, you gotta do your lights" when he comes in too see pics of my latest performance mod. If these aftermarket manufacturers/modifiers would offer a lifetime warranty I'd consider it. Lights should last pretty much forever.

Wow. Really shit product. Most of us own e86/85 m cars here, but thanks for the heads up. I don't like messing with headlights because it's a pain to fix if something goes wrong or burns out. I wish all headlights were designed like e46 headlights with removable lenses.

Well, more proof that there's no free lunch when it comes to aftermarket parts. Shitty Chinese lighting, boat-anchor-weight "replica" wheels that look just like "real!" BBS wheels, shitty coilover setups.. on and on and on. All at impossible prices, that prove too tempting for the uninitiated. Then, BAM, they learn the hard way.

Cut your losses, toss that crap out, and hopefully you paid via credit card, and can file for a refund through your provider. And do continue to spread the word of your horrendous experience, hopefully it will help save others from the same fate.

Best of luck with some kind of favorable outcome. Not likely coming from these knucklers though, who don't give a rat's ass once they have your money, as you're now painfully aware.

The dumbest thing on my part as of yet, I really wanted angel eyes on the coupe. I seriously have a stack of 30 or so receipts from Momentum BMW of parts for this car. I always go to the dealer, buy what I need & pay a "premium" but the stuff fits 100% & if this happened to a OEM part, they'd replace. Only non-OEM part was these junk lights.

& just for fun…heres the car they're on. Ive put a lot of blood sweat & tears into bringing this thing back to its full potential, still not perfect but its come a LONG way

Love the coupe mate, I owned a couple before this one. Just really loved them. Very nice car mate, looks like you've put a lot of work into her. Mate shrug off the lights experience mate, and just move on. The amount of times I've been stiffed in the zed 3 and 4 world.. It's not worth your time to get angry over. At least my time is more expensive than that.

Just enjoy the good experiences you've had. : )

Awesome car mate.

I gotta add, for the one shonk you will find 100 good guys. Just sometimes you get unlucky.

post something up on their facebook acct. then link it here, and other z4 forums...if companies are going to treat consumers like this, then I'm sure their consumers need to know before hand. I'll definitely thumbs up your post on their page...just let us know, I'm sure others will as well...

I used to be a reseller for them and got shafted by them myself. Actually they still have my money but can't get a hold of them. They just don't reply my emails anymore. I've been dragging the problem for over 2 years now.

Feel free to post a link, I am one of the handful who has "revolted against Facebook" so if anyone with an account post, that'd be a great help. Ive posted this on every forum I'm on & yelp as well.

Cant say I'm angry, just disheartened

This is why I love paying for things with a credit card. I would file a chargeback and move on. Credit card companies always give you the benefit of the doubt, and have no problem at all screwing a shitty vendor like this.

Good luck, I know how frustrating it is to deal with crap like this, especially when its your only car.

Maybe we need a sticky or section: "Questionable Vendors". Threads could develop for people either detailing bad experiences or defending a vendor. From there at least a purchaser would be informed before making a decision.

I feel bad you had to go through this but thanks for sharing. I love the angel eyes look but with reports of aftermarket angel eyes going bad, I'll stick with stock. :-( Even the Tekarbon ones have had reports of leaking.

Yea I paid paypal, so not too sure theres much I can do from here. I think a shady vendor section would be awesome though

Fight them through Paypal. You can even file a claim with your CC company if you funded the transaction with a CC.

I bought a "new, takeoff" set of M5 wheels for my F10 earlier this year and the seller claimed he didn't know that two of them were curbed and the packing was so poor that all 4 wheels needed to be refinished. The seller took them back but also claimed the return was never delivered to him.

I paid through Paypal and filed a claim with AMEX...they got my money back. I try not to keep a balance in my Paypal account so I have 2 levels of protection with every purchase.

Not surprised about Umnitza. I bought headlights from them years ago for my prior E36 and they screwed up the order completely. Two different sets of headlights and I even had links to pictures from their own website to indicate which ones I wanted. They sent me the other set and they had to send me the angel eyes separately because they completely forgot to add them. From my experience and stories like this they are a vendor I will avoid forever.
