Exclamation GB: AutoSolutions SSK for Z4M

I have been authorized to take over the GB for Ronald @ AutoSolutions. He has agreed to make a batch of 10 SSK's with the following specs:

a) installed height approx 13mm lower than stock
b) reduction in throw ratio of approximately 15-17%
c) LHD AND RHD fitments available

I have personally driven a Z4MC with the exact same spec kit installed, and it feels absolutely fantastic.

The batch is for only 10 SSK's as I've stated. That means I need 9 other people to post up in here with a serious interest in buying.
The group-buy price is $350 shipped. Once Ronald sees 10 total serious interests, he will put the batch into production. There is no need to pay up now, just show serious interest.

NOTE: Please be responsible and DO NOT put your name on the list UNLESS you are one of the 9 other than myself that is serious about buying this kit. I repeat, only people that have the cash and are willing to pay in full should sign up in here.

If you have any questions regarding this SSK, I will try my best to answer via PM's. Since I'm no affiliate of AutoSolutions, if there is a question I cannot answer, then I will direct you to Ronald, the big boss.

The production process will hopefully start the week of October 25th. Please check the thread for updates. I will do the best I can to provide updates in a timely manner.
Official GB list below!

If he'll do 6, I'm in for sure as the 6th purchaser. This is a no brainer, I am seriously interested.

If 5 is it, no ifs, ands, or buts about it, then oh well....

I will ask Ronald about a 6th, and about RHD. Will update thread as soon as he responds.

Great news! Ronald has agreed to allow a maximum of 10 orders. Beyond this amount, he claims that he cannot control the quality of each kit properly, so he refuses to go beyond 10 kits in one production batch. The list will now extend to 10.

Also, for any RHD cars, he just has to know ahead of time so that he can adjust the bend setting on his machine when he puts the batch of 10 kits into production. I will send Ronald a finalized head count, including all relevant info per buyer, such as exact ship-to address, LHD or RHD, contact info, etc. etc.
I'm assuming that from there on, he will send each of us an individual invoice for payment purposes.

2 questions...

1.) assuming not all 10 slots are filled, when is the latest time to get in on the group buy?

2.) is it possible to pay with a cc when payment is needed?

Hmm good question. I would assume that Ronald would honor the GB price (since he's a nice guy), and since he did promise "10 kits maximum".
Yes, I'd say that a credit card is very much so an acceptable form of payment.
When prompted for Paypal info, Ronald just told me to hold off on payments until he finishes the kits and is ready to ship them out to us

I'd say go for it man. It's going to be another couple of weeks anyway, before any of us sees these at our doorsteps =P
It still has to go through production, then payment logistics and debts need to be settled, and then packaging and shipping.

I'm definitely pretty interested, but I don't know if I'm ready to put my name down quite yet. I don't fine the OE shifter too troublesome, but it's probably the only aspect of this car that leaves a bit to be desired. Does this have any effect of the grinding/notchiness issue?

I would almost certainly be interested in getting on the next batch if the reviews from you early adopters are that good. Hmmmmm...

Yes, it really does make enough a difference to justify the high cost. I'm a skeptical consumer just like anyone else here that's not ridiculosuly loaded/rich (or could care less about how they flaunt their money), but after test driving it in person, I was convinced. For the record, I'm not buying this kit so much for the reduction in shifter throw over stock, but more for the vast improvement in shifter feel. I felt no crunch going into each shift gate. There was not a bit of hesitance involved, and I felt that the kit communicated very well. No guesswork involved.
But in the end, it does me no good to help AutoSolutions with sales. I'm merely sharing my good experiences with my fellow Z4M pals. I get a kick out of sharing good finds with like-minded enthusiasts. And I'm sure that's why a majority of us are on here anyhow. Otherwise I wouldn't take the time to go through the hassle of setting up a GB for an albeit small # of us. Regardless of how many people on the list in the end, I'm still going to go for it =]
So it's up to you bud! Just don't want you to miss out on an opportunity is all. Cuz these kits are custom-made, so they're not your average on-the-shelf or in-stock items. GB prices don't come around often. Just me 2 cents.

Could I please get everyone on the list so far to PM me some extra details so I can get the ball rolling? The production process should have started for these kits. I'll update the thread as info comes in from AutoSolutions. But for now, may I please have the following information:
1) Full Name
2) ship-to city/state/zip code/country
3) RHD or LHD car
4) cell phone #
5) e-mail

These will be forwarded to AutoSolutions for database/contact purposes. I believe #5 could be your Paypal info instead of your contact e-mail. Unless they're the same.

PM sent

I just want to add a voice of support for Ronald and Auto Soultions, to add to the testament of mfanatic325. I had an E46 M3 for three years and through that, spent a lot of time on M3forum.net/M3zine.com.

As consicely as it can be said - this product is highly and widely regarded as the best shifter for the E46 M3 - if you have any doubts, I strongly recommend going to the M3 forum and searching on the subject. I would expect no less for a Z4M fitment. I never got one in my M3 because I decided early on that I was eventually going to switch to the Z4M but if I had kept the M3, this shifter would have been in it from the beginning, right after CDV delete. At least one GB on the M3 forum was filled up before I could get in on it, the other reason why I never got the AS SSK in my M3.

If you have any thoughts at all that some day you would want a different shifter in your Z4M, this is a worthy investment. Heck, I may not be able to get mine installed for a few months, but this opportunity will not slip by me this time. I don't know Ronald personally, I'm speaking only from very positive reviews about the product from the M3 crowd. And, it wasn't just random people raving about it - several long term, respectable members and sponsors of M3 forum were perhaps the most outspoken about how nice this shifter is.

Anyway, I'm just trying to do my part to make sure that anyone who is even remotely considering a shifter for their Z4M give this GB a real good look. Re-sale is always a crap shoot, but if you bought one and didn't install it, it would be my guess that you might be able to get more for it if you were to sell it in the future. Ronald might not like hearing me say that, and it may not work out that way, but you never know. It is a sought after shifter for the E46 M3, that much is really not disputable.
