CDV modification and brake fluid change

Is the best time to complete the CDV modification when the brake fluid is being changed?

Yes as you will also have to bleed the clutch.

Curious: what does bleeding the clutch have to do with changing brake fluid? Why is is significantly easier to do them at the same time? Not familiar with the specific procedure on the Z4, but I'm curious, as I do plan on doing the CDV delete this spring.

My guess is the brake fluid reservoir doubles as the clutch fluid reservoir so, when bleeding the clutch you'll have to top off the brake reservoir.

The clutch is pressurized utilizing the brake fluid reservoir, it has a bleed nipple the same as the brakes, just a little hard to reach. If you plan on flushing your system then you want to flush/bleed that out as well. Search is your friend as there are a lot of write ups about this. I did the CDV delete and changed out to SS brake lines at the same time. Figured since I had the car up on the Jack stands I might as well get it all done.
