Maintenance Program Upgrade
I just received a postcard from my local dealer promoting the program. I guess one gets an additional two years or 50,000 miles from the expiration of the standard BMW Maintenance Program. I'm not sure of the cost but considering it since I'd like to keep my '07 Z4MC beyond the current maintenance program.
Is it worth it? |

It's like $2K, right?
I think it's worth it. New rotors on our cars cost just under $1000 alone... And if you're off of the maintenance program you'll be paying for labor too.

The original owner purchased the extended maintenance at the time of purchase for $1400 on my car and I was able to transfer it to my name.
If you can get a pretty good deal on it, I think it is worthwhile. I mean an Inspection II will probably cost what the plan runs if not more. |

I just experience my first Inspection I this past month and it was glorious to see a amount due at the end of $0 after all that work.
Especially meaningful when you come from DIYing world and being use to working on every single car I own and understanding what it takes to perform some of these maintenance items.

I think he meant that the car just sits in the parking lot while BMWNA gets a $800 bill.
Back in the day our local Honda dealership used to place the used parts in a thick clear bag in the passenger floor board. I suppose it was as proof that they did the work. I imagine most felt it was nasty, but I kindof liked it because you could see what condition the belts were and plugs etc. |

I have a good relationship with a dealer in PA and my father still lives up there. So he took my car in for service with them for me even though I live in VA and the car is registered in VA.
