The acrylic and mesh that roadster sells are definitely good, but don't write off the power of lexan, either. It is much stronger, and after cracking my acrylic windscreen, I have never had anything but lexan. Also, check reviews on the windscreens before you purchase them. If you google for windscreen reviews, you will probably find some good sites. Good luck!

I finally picked up my wind deflector. I got the BMW OEM unit that snaps between the roll hoops, like this:

I got it from BMW Cleveland for a great price IMHO. I'll install it when the snow goes and the car comes out of storage.

I picked up the clear acrylic one from Bavarian Autosport and I honestly didn't notice much difference in wind/noise with it installed. Not sure if the rest of you have had better results, but I wasn't impressed.

When I remove my OEM deflector, I find that the wind buffeting in the cabin, even at around town speeds, is much more pronounced than when the deflector is in place.
