I feel like O-cha knows the e85/6 platform better than any mere mortal.

You think you're funny, but what you don't know is I mused over the fact that there's mountains of room for a top mount. There's also room for a side exit exhaust out the front quarter panel without cutting any structure (though that wouldn't be a street thing).
I'm sorry you dislike that I'm a knowledgeable person, try to get over it. Also you are completely misguided about where this is coming from. I have an HPF turbo car, that's why I know it wont simply bolt up to the z4, I also spoke at length with HPF about it and they are not interested in adapting it. The hardware could be adapted with some fabrication but the tuning remains the issue, as it always is with BMWs.

He basically said my word was law in another thread, I thought he he was being antagonizing because some people trust my opinion and he didn't agree and was being sarcastic. I thought that's why he made this thread to be sarcastic like oh if you know everything then make us a turbo kit.
Now I'm just not sure anymore. So if he was being sarcastic he did a really good job.

actually im just clearly saying if you can make a turbo kit I would politely submit my request for one. that is all. I am military and would like to dump my money earned from blasting insurgents in the face on a car that may help keep my adrenaline on the up and up.
that is all. no sarcasm here what so ever... I actually repect your presence on the forum. |

Yea then I totally mistook your candor.
But no unfortunately it's not going to happen. Tuning is the preventative factor that requires a huge investment.

Hey O-cha,
I remember you were building a high hp e46 m3...what happened to it and why are you back in the z4m? I ask b/c I've been contemplating a hpf 2.5 m3. I don't want to invest so much to figure out the z4m was better...just want to hear your thoughts and reasoning thanks

Using the OEM ECU to tune for turbos isn't a very good option. There are far too many things that should be done that the OEM ECU cannot do.

O-cha,
would you install a sc again on the z4m or did you feel it was unbalanced? Perhaps I'll just build/buy e36 turbo and keep the z4m as is....

why would you want put a turbo on a Z4M an introduce lag to a vehicle that has almost instantaneous reaction to throttle input? Doesn't a SC seem to make more sense? Am I missing something?
