wheel help again; ordering custom bbs e88 from europe need optimal widths/offsets

ok for starters, I am in on the ohlins group by, so a full suspension will be coming to be, provided that ohlins is still going to do this!!

now, i am going to order a full custom set of bbs e88 direct from europe and I get to pick widths/offset and custom colour if desired. my question is what are the optimal widths/offsets that everyone on here would recommend?

do I go 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear?

or do I go 18x9 front and 18x10 rear?

now with offsets; I can honestly pick any.... with 8.5 front do I go et35 or little less, the 9.5 rear et22 seems perfect?

now if i go slightly wider do I get less offset or keep it the same?

would like to hear everyones thoughts and like I say, these are going to be built to whatever specs I choose, so I can nail down exact offset!

**tire size help would also be appreciated!

either way you can fit just as much tire if that is what you are looking for...apex has good offsets for fitting wide tires. I have ec-7's in 18x9.5 +35 and 18x10 +25....I am pretty low but with a reasonable drop you can fit 275s and 245/255s

thanks for the reply.

I am looking for some more specific help with regards to what offsets to choose? does anyone have any insight? They are totally custom so I can choose what I need.

is 18x9 front and 18x10 rear for widths too strong?

I know that the volk te37sl; has some pretty ideal sizes at 8.5front et35 and 9.5rear et22 should I just get those specs on the e88?

imho, and unfortunatly ive been through a few sets of wheels. width of 9 to be safe, 9.5 if you want to run some camber. in the rear, 10 is safe, 10.5 with a little camber, 11 if you just want to say you have 11's. the best fitment wheels i have EVER had on this car are the arc 8s, front was +35, rear was something like +25. ymmv, lots of variables though. best wishes

This wasn't specific enough for you? I run this setup as well...

Are you asking for e88 specs? This is the wrong forum for 1 series specs if you are, if that's the case you will be looking around 8.5 +45 front and 9.5+60 rear

Guys thanks for all the help so far. I forgot to clarify originally, these are purely for the street, the newer/latest iteration of these wheels are perfectly acceptable for street use and a ton of porsche guys, 993 and on use them on the street.

so they are purely for aesthetic purposes as I just like the look of them...

so for beta and intgr8r hopefully you can assist.

thanks again gentlemen.
