I think the wheels were 25#/28# when I looked at the VT web site. My question is this, the wheels are being sold Brand New for 799/set with free shipping on the VT web site. The tires you have would be ~$700 set for these wheels. Why would I pay $1,500 for a used set?

I remember weighing the wider rear wheel, and it came out to like 24 lbs.
If I recall correctly, that's about the same weight as an OEM wheel, but these are 19's, so do keep that in mind. As for authentic Volk TE37's, the weight per wheel is like around 20 lbs. So it's not too big a difference. I think at most, you're looking at 4 lbs. heavier per wheel when compared to top notch forged monoblocks, which comes in at 12 lbs. overall more weight AT THE ABSOLUTE MOST (assuming you had 9.5 widths all around). Thanks! How nice of you! We've never even dealt before have we? How'd you know I was a good seller? lol Quote:
I might even give away the tire pressure monitoring sensors (TMPS). We'll see. It all really depends on whether or not I can work out a deal for the wheels I want. That guy still hasn't gotten back to me yet with a final verdict, so we'll see. Last edited by mfanatic325; 11-18-2010 at 02:10 AM.. |

It looks like the wheels I want are still out on the table (since buyer flaked), so these VT996's are still up as a feeler. But I can't really buy those unless I have a buyer for this set here. Anyone interested in a local pickup? I'll hook it up

WOOT! I was able to work a deal out with the seller, and bought my upgrade wheels. Therefore, these are now officially for sale!
I've decided to include everything: wheels, tires, center caps, TPMS sensors, etc. If you're local, please come pick these up for cheap! Otherwise, please make me a reasonable offer |

Wish you were local, cuz then I could hook you up =P
But since I gotta ship it, I must ask for $1500 pretty firm, especially now that the TPMS sensors are included in the asking price. Sensors are already put into the wheel, so all you will need is to find some stem caps for it. Or you could run capless, it really doesn't matter. They won't lose air unless you poke the little metal pin inside the valve stem anyway lol |

Thats a great deal. I am picking up a set of 19 inch OEM E92 M3 wheels for my Z4M pretty soon. I really like that look. I have my Volks for my M3. Best of both world I guess.
I am going to go with a 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear tire since I really want a smoother ride. 30 series rear has to go. lol

haha yeah, I'm pretty much losing out on the TPMS. I'm sure the buyer can make a profit selling those
I'm too lazy to swap them into my new wheels. I might get the ECU guys to turn the tire pressure dash light off next time I flash the ECU or something. I plan on running headers soon |

Errr unfortunately, Cupertino's next to San Jose, and I'm pretty certain Laguna Beach is down in SoCal? So unless you're making a trip up here for something anyways, I doubt you'd come up just to check these out lol
If you were local, hell, I'd meet you halfway =P |

I wonder how many miles I'd have to travel for that
I could ship them if you're serious though. These VT996's, OR my non-M fitment LE37's also still for sale |
