Wheel and tire size question
To make a long story short, I recently had one of my CSL replica wheels replaced along with the tire and sensor when the wheel repair company lost my original. Problem is that I was in a rush and told them the wrong tire size (265 35 19 is what they bought, 265 30 19 is what was on there originally).
Question is, will I have any issues running 265 35 19 on my 3.0si coupe? I have an OEM suspension setup with sport springs and B4 bilstein replacement shocks. |

The rotational differences will cause some extra wear on your differential. I would get the tire replaced if it was me.

Bump bump. Can I run 265/35/19 in the rear (on both tires)? Looks like it would be a 5% difference on the speedo from stock 18" wheels and from 265/30/19 tires. Anyone have experience with this size and, more importantly, would you do it? Just looking for some more opinions.

Depending on which tire you choose there could be a 1" overall diameter difference between your OEM 265/35/18 and the 265/35/19.
This will obviously cause the speedo to read wrong and possibly other systems will be affected. If this change only caused the speedo to read wrong I would go for it. The additional height will raise ride height by 1/2" but also close the tire to wheel lip gap by 1/2"

My advice would be buying 2 new rears in the correct dimensions. Take this as a lesson learned for making a decision in a hurry. Shit happens.
If there's too big of a difference in circumference between the front and rear tires the ABS unit will act out. That's no good. The speedo is the least you should worry about. |
