Got my Style 203's... what type of valve stem should I use?
I've got rubber valve stems on my turbines but I was wondering if I should go with a metal valve stem?

metal stems are for cars that have the in-wheel TPM's. stick with the rubber ones.

http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=817129 Here are my EC7s with stems installed and some more info. Also has links to the ones I purchased. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=819312 I took my wheels and stems to the installer and they put it all together for me. The stem length was perfect and I have no leaks or any compatibility issues. I really love the way these stems look. Adds a great finishing touch. Contact support to double check you won't have issues with your turbines, but I can't see any reason why there would be. |

it is true... for OE installations.
aftermarket metal stems are perfectly acceptable, but not required.

Just be sure to watch any garage that changes your tires if you go with the metal stems. I had a garage replace them with rubber and I didn't notice for weeks, By the time I went back they were of course gone, BMW logo caps and all, and I had no way to prove that I ever owned them much less that they took them.

^ I was SOOO paranoid about that happening. I had Costco do it and figured amongst the masses they would be lost. Honestly, they did a fantastic job. Had 3 installers all drooling over the car, so that helped.

Also, be careful of mixing the types of metal!
I had a valve stem cap not remove and I tore the valve stem in half. This was on a Tundra and the replacement was $130. Main reason why I traded it in...hahaha just kidding. Steve |
