is there an ecu upgrade for the M that makes any real power without adding other mods? I'm getting the bug to mod the M Roadie...

I see tune threads come up regularly, from what I can tell it's a mixed bag. Some people claim large gains, some actually lost power. The only consistent thing I hear is that it makes things "smoother," so I dunno. Personally, I'm probably just going to leave well-enough alone

Thus far, out of the available options out there, Active Autowerk's NA tune is the most affordable and has yielded the highest gains that I know of. We're waiting for a second car to confirm power gains via dyno.
ESS is a tried and true NA tune option, but is not the highest yielding purchase, nor is it the cheapest. Evolve's tune apparently had some issues and they have not worked it out with all the customers yet despite knowing about the issues. So I'd hold off on that option for now. This one isn't cheap either.. What else out there has before-and-after dyno sheets available? Epic? BrenTune? DINAN? G-Power? Gintani? Not sure if all those have Z4M tune options available. |
