I'm not even getting a coupe of either type! The job I was waiting for, that I thought was a nearly "sure thing," seems to have fallen through. So for now, I'm stuck with my MINI (boo hoo, right?). I figure I'll add a CAI and maybe a new exhaust when I can afford it to boost it's performance, but as soon as I'm in a more stable financial situation, I *will* have a coupe.

Btw, I don't know how many have looked into it, but I'm personally grateful for PenFed's payment saver program. If it weren't for that, I'd probably be facing selling even the MINI and driving some p.o.s. around a year until I'm back to teaching. It's probably not the best for all people, because you do pay more interest over the life of the loan, but if you car has a decent residual outlook after 2-5 years, it's a great way to get lease-like or cheaper payments without the lease conditions. I just wish I would've known about it before I bought my MINI so I wouldn't have been paying $500/mo for the past 7 months!

Wowzers... I am waiting on an offer from a "sure thing" as well. Hope mine goes through... now you got me all worried! Haha! At least you were smart and waited till AFTER you heard for sure before buying something

Hah, yeah hopefully it isn't contagious. You know, I almost, just ALMOST, went ahead and bought that si Coupe in Tulsa a couple weeks ago. It was just such a good deal. I'm glad I didn't do anything rash! I don't think it would've sunk me, but it would've meant I'd be working a lot more!
