What do you hate the most about your Z4 or Z4M?

I want to start off with the noisy leather seats. I don't like how they make so much squeaking noise when your seat is rubbing the roll bar whenever you hit a bump or making a turn.

i'm with everyone on the cup holders... at least once a week mine will give out with my coffee in it.... shooting coffee all over my car.

Low quality interior materials. The upper dashboard is a joke, even the Korean makers have upgraded beyond crap like this.. and mine has several shiny spots, that appear to be defects in how they are molded, and others have reported the same problem. Other interior materials are also not up to spec for a $50k+ car, and far below BMW's current German-built models like the E90 3-series. Other than that.. no complaints.

If you think of it, the worst complaint is cup holders,and the Germans don't even want you drinking coffee while you are driving.

my car handles like sht... the cup holders are fn gay... and its not a M... my 350z felt 100000x better.... the headlights dont light up the road like other bmws either... i cant even hit turns because the car is so nervous and hops all other the place constantly... but it does look sexy when i drive by big windows on store fronts...

I made this list at about 6 months...

Love
1. The cornering - the Z4 takes corners like a razor.
2. The sound generator - best free mod ever; go foamless & topless!
3. The nice big trunk - excellent for a car this small
4. Fantastic 3rd gear power band/acceleration w/sport button.
5. Gorgeous exterior - still look back at the car after parking.
6. Brilliant light of the Xenons within their short range
7. The looks the car gets.
8. Honest comments like "nice car," and "that's a beautiful car."
9. Great fuel mileage - compared to my S.U.V. with V-8.
10. Sound of the exhaust when down shifting.
11. SMG - fun and flexible shifting

Hate
1. The cheap sound of the doors closing.
2. The short range of the key fob when locking the car.
3. No beep when locking the car with key fob.
4. The car creaks when I get out of it.
5. Slight hesitation when turning the key to start the car.
6. Cheap feel of the interior door handles.
7. Interior looks dated, cold and dead in every way.
8. Bumpy ride tends to get old after a while (RFTs).
9. Xenons cut off very sharply, light drops quickly to darkness.
10. Sport mode sometimes gives choppy, lurching performance in traffic.
11. Honest comments like "that's a cute little car," and "that's adorable."

This is absolutely infuriating. Trying to hold the key to your chin to get the fob to work in a $55K car. I wouldn't care if it beeped or not if the fob was reliable. I was at the grocery once and after about ten tries, I just locked it with the key. Ticked me off to no end.
