add the clk63 black to the list. That's a car that I would love to have around for a long time. A lot more low key than any of the vehicles listed and in the 70's now...that car will never be irrelevant, but nor will this e85/6 chassis -_-

Do they have booze at kids' golf tournaments?

CLK Black would be neat, but if you're looking for a "midlife crisis" car, it's lacking in the BFW factor.

Have you thought about an electric car such as the Tesla Roadster? I know it's not the same, but having driven one, holy shit they are fast.

Also a Nissan GTR is a solid choice. A buddy of mine just picked up the 2012 Black edition GTR and that thing is scary quick. Like 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds quick. A Nissan is never going to have the same pedigree and class as say, Ferrari, but if you don't mind that and want to be a little different then it's a good option.

Oh yea and what about Aston Martin? I'm pretty sure the Vantage starts in your price range.
Panamera Turbo is solid too. You wouldn't believe how that car handles for how big it looks.

OK guys, let me explain something here. I LOVE makeup. As in, I'm obsessed with it and even demo different looks on video for a friend of mine who has her own mineral eye-pigment company. I color my hair regularly and it has been various shades of purple, pink, burgundy and is now red (to match my car ) and I even have a facebook fan page dedicated to makeup and hair questions. Oh yeah, AND I LOVE TO DRIVE FAST. I love my Z4M. I love going to the track. I love that I can heel-toe and know how to kick out my back end. The most exciting afternoon I've had recently was when I finally "got" slow-in, fast-out.

So yeah. Not mutually exclusive. Have faith. Teach her to drive and tell her SHE CAN DO IT. The only thing that held me back until I was in my 40s was hearing over and over that "girls don't do that." So get her a pedicure, buy her some driving shoes and take that girl driving!

My buddies got a GTR that I haven't driven yet, but it's just not my thing, however it is a solid car. I'd side with a z06 before a GTR, and before I buy an aston I'd choose the clk black. I'd buy the panamera s as my daily and trade in my x5 but not as my weekend car, but words are just words and if the right deal comes along you could find me in any one of these...

This is pretty fun to think about, but pretty humbling if my deal falls through...

I took my wife to a car control clinic at Spring Mountain a few years ago. Her first time driving a stick tranny was in a 505hp Corvette Z06. Out of the gate she would stall 3 out of 4 times and each time the coaches would yell "More gas!". After she started back up she'd leave a huge cloud of smoke as she did a burn out. At the end of the class she was the fastest driver through the course.

Morale of the story: Don't invite your wife to car stuff unless you're prepared to be humbled.

So if you had up to 120k to spend for a weekend garage queen, what would you get?

here are some of my choices

f430
ford GT
Gallardo spyder
porsche gt2/3
r8 v10 or twin turbo v8

My favorite would be the GT so far
I'd go one of three ways with that amount of cash: Astom Martin V8 Vantage or Audi R8 and lave them bone stock. My feeling is that the 8-cylinders in each offer a good balance of performance and tractability, and their respective 12-cylinder and 10-cylinder versions are overkill.

Or I'd move my M Coupe up to exotic car levels with an M5 V10 swap.

If you wanna track a car the go with Atom
If you want something fun to drive and pose around go with Gallardo spider (I would do this )

^ I lawled at these above

In any case, I don't have any useful input, I'm sorry. All I can say is, I'm jealous of your way of life
I hope to be that successful by the time I'm 30 (in another 7 years ).
I'm sure whatever you end up choosing to do, will bring years of joy!
Cheers mate!

I have had a chance to drive a Ferrari F430 vert and it was a joy. Not sure you could get one that cheap.

Personally, I would not want a late model exotic, but a classic, such as a Jaguar XKE, Pre-65 Corvette, BMW M1, Alfa Montreal, Maserati Bora or old Ferrari. They become investments especially with the drop in market value today.

Gallardo Spyder by far. My neighbor has one and the sound, oh man the sound! I have to ask to stop blasting Reggaetton when I am in it or driving it. I mean why would anyone even need a radio in a car as musical as a Lambo, only better sounds is a F430 imo

I would have also picked the R8 or Aston, but I would go with a used DB9 - I think 100k will get you one with ~10k miles. Saw one at the gas station last night, and it's still one of the few cars I lust over more than my car

impeccable taste sir. although i still think the lambo is a poser car compared to the competition... all wheel drive just doesn't seem right on a true sports car (ive owned an evo) its brilliantly fast just not the same thing.

I would Nix that one. I rented an Aston Martin V12 Vantage the other weekend and, while it was very refined and fast, it was not as much fun to drive as some other cars I have driven (including the Zed). Also, those things are plagued with electrical problems. If you are parking the car for >1day you actually are recommended to turn the battery off!
