As per this post: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=27
It appears they are M8x25 / M8x35 (2+2 for the passenger side) with a 1.25 pitch. |

I have a bunch in the parts drawer, I'll measure them for you.

For the drivers side I am pretty sure I was able to reach every bolt without removing the airbox. It just took a little thought and the correct extension. I'll go back and figure out what I did and post.

Thanks guys.. I am interested to see how you went about getting to the drivers side, Jumbosock... I really think this is good preventative maintenance. I do have a mild vibration and the passenger side front top bolt does look to be backing out slightly.. I look forward to getting this done soon.. This forum rocks!

Is there a DIY for the airbox removal, or is it pretty straightforward? I pulled my back the other day so not sure when I'll be getting under the car to do the passenger side but I can do the driver's side bolts from the top probably. |

If you think one or more bolt(s) is loose or coming out... don't use the car or the bolt might break in half leaving the other half inside the engine....
Been there - done that = not sexy! |
