Is it too JDM to install neo or black open ended lug nuts to a BMW?
Was thinking of getting some Motorsport hardware opened ended lug nuts (neo or black) installed on my BMW z4 wheels. Not sure if this would be considered a no no since it's a euro car. Any ideas and pix?

Adding studs to the car is not jdm - ghey ass colored lug nuts serve no purpose.

I did studs + open lugs, makes swapping wheels way easier. But for the folks who are thinking hot pinkz, yea don't see the purpose of that

I dont know if you're referring to JDM as a bad thing but i think it looks cool...but then again my opinion may be a lil biased
attached is a pic my buddy took of my setup ...doesn't showcase the neo that well but trust it looks better in person OP you didnt happen to go through 2m autowerks for your wheels did you? |

Thanks! No I ordered mine through the now deceased group 5 motorsports back in 2010...I just know the owners of 2m and remember them telling me that a black z came in and ordered meisters...i figured it was you when i saw that you're from sd. Looks dope! I usually roll to meets and events with them, you should join some time. My suggestion for what its worth is get lug nuts because the stock bolts are a pain in the ass when removing wheels. As for the color....some might say too jdm or wuteva but really its just a color. Get whatever you like its your car then let the haters hate if its not their taste. As for pics i'll try to find some time to make a thread...collected a few shots from this past year i've been meaning to post just havent got around to doing it. |

Is it JDM? no. I don't believe that was standard on any Japanese domestic car. Is it a little bit tacky, in my opinion yes but don't forget you can do whatever you want with your car. I have some things on my car people nit pick, but I like it and they're not paying for anything haha

You like it, you do it mate. :-)
Doing stuff because other people may or may not like it is like not shagging your hot girlfriend because your saving her for HER next boyfriend.

I have blue plastic caps. Not quite the same blue as the car, but at least blue.
They look a lot better than the banged up black bolts. Lasted longer than I thought they would. Been over 2 years now and they're like new.
