I have no idea, but I know everything that you need comes with the oil filter.

Regarding washer, I cheaped out and bought non-oem filters from my local parts store which didn't come with washers.

I've got a bunch of these in my tool chest. Reason being that I use a mity vac to do my oil changes and I don't use the oil pan drain plug washer. Not sure why I keep them but I guess I keep thinking that they can be used for some other application and I might need them. I've looked at some part store filters and in many cases, they are more expensive than the OEM filter at the dealer let alone what you can get them for online. Nevertheless, all of the ones I've seen came with washers. Never seen one that didn't.
