This is great buy, I seen pipes similar to these but charging like $2K. Lets reach 19+ so we all can get it for $850.
Updated, you're in.

Me too.
Under 1K would be nice, but $850 would be even better.

Are the DKF 300 Cell cats any better than the stock US 200 Cell cats? The US cats are half the size of the EU cats, so they really seem like the best option to me.

Don't forget that we are dealing with 2 entirely different types of CATs.
High performance metallic vs. OE ceramic.

IDK if you've seen the write up by 'avsbmw' on his DKF 300 cell kit.

Thanks. I didn't see that write up before.

So what's the difference / benefit of metallic vs. ceramic?

I'm on the fence for this GB. I don't think I want to run catless, so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth running the 300 CEL vs OE Cats (currently have Fabspeed headers and Evolve tune).

There was some CAT discussion in the poll thread, not sure if you saw that.
I'm not an expert on CATs so I'll leave that theoretical discussion to others.

My main thinking is that since I'm eliminating the header CATs & OE section 1 CATs;
the 300s have the best shot at remaining compliant & keeping the rear O2s happy.
I also want to keep my OE section unmodified so that I can always restore the OE setup when the time comes.

You would think the stepped S-pipe and smoother flow would make more HP too. Im also surprised this hasnt sold out of spots.

I can guarantee that there will be several posts after it closes saying they wish they had known about it.

If we're close to a price reduction I'd consider buying an extra for this reason though it would almost certainly put me out of favor with someone...

looks interesting and price is not bad

i have Fabspeed headers and RE diablo rear cats

i am mainly considered about noise level?

what about performance since i already got headers?

also, will it make difference in noise levels between 100 vs 300 cell?

Is yours a Euro or US spec car.
This is mainly a setup to replace section 1 on US spec cars.

I want in but have a few questions, mostly regarding payment and shipping. Is DKF still active on this site, or is there someone I can PM to get these answered and not clog the thread up?

DKF is definitely active on site.
I'm just trying to keep it as straight forward as possible, and have most GB questions go through me.

You can definitely contact DKF directly though, if you need info for international shipping etc..

Doug is also available by PM "IDLE_TIME"

Doug contacted me. thank you. Just didn't want to clutter the nice neat thread! I'm deployed so there's some issues I'd run into.

Will that be an issue as Im going to have my headers coated with the pipe all at once at my local heatcoater in St.Louis? Wasnt sure if the polish will hurt my coating process.

It shouldn't, but it is kind of pointless.
But I'm sure DKF can leave them raw for the ones that will be doing their own coatings.

I'll get some feedback on this.

Update:

In order for DKF to offer this exta bonus deal for no charge polishing, they have to do the entire run to get a decent price break.

For coating; the pipes have to be media blasted as part of the coating process, so either way, so its not a problem.
