What do you guys think?
Have an 07 Z4 Roadster, Silver Grey on Black. Would like to recolor or re-dye the leather to Red (always wanted red leather). Found leatherworldtech.com and it appears they have the products to do so. Here is the link
http://www.leatherworldtech.com/Prod...Cardinal%20Red Is it possible, no damage, tried before, what do you think????? |

Never heard of them.
A company I have heard about and has been around a long time is Leatherique It can be done. Ironicly here's a black to red color change vid with leatherique. |

Had a friend do it to his e46. It's not easy, simple or perfect by any means and he spent time on it - a lot of time.
Personally, I don't think it's worth it. I also would love to have the red interior, but this is a heavy undertaking. |

Step #1 - Remove your seats...
Step #2 - Disassemble your seats... Prepping requires 48 hours. "6 -7 coats may be required" "You should leave it for about a week before handling it and putting it back together" Wow! You've got to really want that new color!

Probably wouldn't cost much more than dying them. The cleaning, prep solvents and dyes ain't cheap. Another option would be to consider custom fitted seat covers like those offered by coverking. I don't see anything they have in s solid red buy they do have several different fabric options offered in black with red inserts. |
