2003 BMW E85/86 Wiper Cowl

BMW Z4 2003 has some sun damage/chipping to the wiper cowl below the front windshield and would like to replace...does anyone have one for sale and how do you remove/reinstall the new one?

Hi Steve,

This is a common problem and I believe BMW fixed the material in later years, so the new part should be OK.

The new part is about $110 if I remember correctly. To swap it out, you need to remove the wiper arms and then it should come off after some plastic retainers are removed (sorry, I know this isn't much help).

If you are concerned about doing it, give a windshield/glass place a call and throw them a case of beer to do it for ya. Cheaper than the dealer and this piece is always removed when you do the windshield
