You must not have heard of stage 3 and 4 yet...

Nobody knows what intakes you're trying to compare.

AFE Stage 1 $545. Stage 2 $395. What is the difference besides $150?

I don't know about anyone else but I prefer dry filters, plied filters tend to foul the MAF sensor. Does anyone recommend something other than AFE? I want it to look good. I like carshows.

I dont think there is any stage 2 for our cars (Z4Ms). Your opinion about oil filter is very misleading; many great setup use oil. You just have to becareful and not over oil when recharge. The OEM setup is pretty good, there wont be any gain from aftermarket filters (might even lost power in some cases). In my opinion (and experience with the Afe), they are nothing but a noise maker and some are better than others.

So what does the majority M owners use for intakes. I can't see the money for Gruppe intake. I had a nice Conforti intake on my Z3 Coupe 2.8 w a heat shield.

I had the Conforti for my Z3M.

The aFe does not compare to the Conforti on price, quality or sound. I had an aFe on my Z4M and sold it.

The only options are aFe and Gruppe M.
