Active Autowerke So Cal Group Buy

Hey guys,
just spoke to Sam regarding the active tune for our z4m's. The uploading will take place at...

AUTOTALENT
1884 S Sepulveda Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90025
(310) 231-7800

We only need 5 cars including myself for the special pricing on an already phenomenal retail price of $500. We don't need to go in at the same time, Autotalent will just need a deposit or credit card number.

I won't be taking a cut for setting this up so all of the discount is going the group. It's the only way to get a discount on a marginal profit. PM me for pricing

For those of you who are wondering about the difference of my group buy and ochas, is that those of us who are local to a aatuner are not eligible for his group buy as it would be a conflict of interest between manufacturer and vendor. For those willing to make the drive will have the instant gratification of not having to remove the ecu and waiting for days and driving home tuned

just got word that even at 2 would get a discount, though not as significant as 5+...

I'll hold off until 11/17 before ending this.

currently the 1-4 people group buy price is set at 450 including tax...we need 2 more for an even more stellar deal.

This is guaranteed power unlike the intakes and exhausts we put on our cars...let's get 2 more

Do they charge any sort of install fee, or is it no sh*t $450 out the door?

Have fun with this guys
I just outpulled my friend's '98 Toyota Supra twin turbo 6spd. He's got a downpipe and twin conversion (both turbos spooling together all the time) done but otherwise stock everything. I've only got a SuperSprint race muffler, and a B&M drop-in filter. We did 3rd gear pull. I got the jump on him and kept it all the way to the top. It was bout half-car to a full car-length walk on him. I will enjoy this moment as best I can for now, because he's got a lot of performance mods lined up

Don't quote me on this, but from what I know about flashed ECU's, if the dealer ever has to alter anything ECU-related, it'll erase your tune; and you'd have to get it retuned. This was the case with my 325's ECU. Albeit, that was a very poor tune which did absolutely nothing. Hence why I was so skeptical about the AA tune going into it =/
Will hafta ask AA personally regarding this matter for a 100% certainty answer.

These guys are standup guys, and remember I'm paying what you guys are paying for this...there is absolutley no cut in this for me, which is usually the case for group buys. So to answer your question it is a 450 no bs tax included price for 1-4 people. Lower w/ 5+

PS
most if not all shops will charge a install fee on top of the 500

So met up with Sam for the install and who would appear? After a 3.5 hour drive, pokeybritches! Turns out he has one of six doppelganger configurations of the Z4! Who knew, right? He was kind enough to give me a test drive to check out his AFE intake while we waited for my car. It definitely tempted me to get one as well, we'll see.

As to the tune itself, I was only able to drive it briefly back to work, but yeah my butt dyno could definitely pick up on the difference! The power band was smooth and you could easily tell there was a difference. On the next time I started it up, I was pleased to see the dsc off and the sport mode on automatically! Small thing, but I geeked out anyways.

Now, I read that disconnecting the battery and resetting the throttle makes a difference, but why does one need to reset the ECU when it had been erased and replaced by the AA tune? Also doesn't the ECU adapt to your driving habits anyways? Or am I just misinformed.

Bottom line, get this tune it rocks and I felt it was money well spent!

I reset because at first I couldn't tell if it was the placebo effect taking hold, or if my butt dyno really was right. With the resets (both ECU and throttle) and a track day to ensure full adaptation of the ECU, I could then say for sure
Then my "after" dyno proved it all to be valid

Welcome to the still small and humble (for now) AA tune club

Amazing! glad you were able to meet up another fellow member while you waited. Did you take it up to redline? I'll be going in on wed and have track times to follow. I'll be ecstatic w/a 2 mph trap speed increase in the 1/8th mile(equates to 20hp)
