Mesh grill cleaning questions

This has always bugged me, It started on my 1995 M3 now with the M Coupe
the mesh grills in the front bumpers. They are a HUGE PITA to clean well and to make look good. Does anyone have a great way to clean these and keep them looking new? Spray dressings are not the answers I am looking for. I know there are these super anal detail guys out there that have to have some tips for this.

You might want to try something like this:

or you may want to try the small Wheel Woolie here:

I have both the Griots and the Wheel Woolies and they seem to work good enough.

I have a small foam brush (similar to like a painting brush).

I use Aerospace 303 and just scrub away.
