Feel free to list what you plan to do for next year too! And if you didnt do anything do be a smartass with comments such as "i dont see a need to mod my Z!" or i'll fkin banhammer ur ass

I got a good amount of stuff checked off the list this year:

TC Kline coilovers,
APR splitter
ZHP shift knob
Zeck CDV
AA Headers (currently uninstalled)
Tekarbon Mirrors
RPI exhaust, scoop, BMC filter

Looks like a lot of folks have had a very busy year! This is a really great summary thread of what's been going on for a lot of us. Vinnie, thanks for starting this!

Curious- did you notice a significant improvement with this upgrade? It seems rather incomplete with only the door speakers being swapped out(4 out of the 10 total speakers).

After just buying in Jun of this year:

1. Roadster solutions clear wind deflector and padded arm rest
2. Replaced top motor, plugs, cabin air filter and brake pads.... I know it’s not a mod, but since I did it myself, I call it a mod
3. LED interior light upgrade
4. 3 stage manifold upgrade (From i to si), carbon filter delete, K&N drop in filter + dyno
5. Added the sound generator
6. Tekarbon LED angel eyes (After trying the E-bay sonar/spyder lights)
7. HID 5000K low beams and fog lights
8. BSW stage 1 speaker upgrade
9. Trunk lid storage organizer/new floor mats & trunk mat liner
10. Akebono ceramic pads (not installed yet) - need to replace the brake fluid as well

For the new year:
1. ECU tune from i to above si power (just waiting for -C- to test his out when it comes in before I pull the trigger)
2. 19" double 5-spokes (like 326M) .... If I can find a good deal on some used ones, and also ditch the RFTs for some good rubber
3. exhaust .... still debating which way to go
4. suspension, debating this as well
5. Touch up paint and certainly a professional buff/polish job
6. Want silver CF to replace current aluminum trim (not that cheesy stick-on stuff), just haven't found any yet
7. Also thinking about brake upgrades, but want to work through the first few goals before thinking about which way I want to go

This year:

Stromung Mufflers
Diffs Online 4:10 Diff
H&R Coilovers
PFC (Track Pads)
MT1 Wheels
Bimmerworld Rear trailing-arm bushing limiter kit (should have bought the Turner kit)
UUC Trannymounts
Turner E46 M3 Street Camber Plates
Turner Adjustable rear camber arms
Rear Control Arm Upper Inner Bushing - Group N (useless)
Turner E46 M3 Sway Bar Kit
Rear Adjustable Length Sway Bar End Links
Adjustable Front Sway Bar End Links
Wheel Studs and nuts
MStache
BSW speaker upgrade

Not bad considering I wasn't planning on modifying this car.

2012
- Front Control Arm bushing
- Maybe Headers / cat mod

Wow, Thnx JRA, that's EXACTLY what I'm looking for .... the photos on their site indeed look top-notch!!

Now, the question is, how much??

I assume you have to ship everything off to them with some hefty int'l shipping fees .... can you shoot me a PM with any further details?

Damn, I love this forum!! make a mention of wanting/looking for something and a complete stranger just walks up with everything you're looking for

I most certainly did notice an improvement. At regular price this bit of kit is a little expensive, but there is no denying that the soundstage is much better after its installation. The highs are also much more defined which is probably due to the the silk dome tweeters.

I just installed my BSW stage 1 upgrade today (And just posted my results in the "Bavarian soundwerks....." post in the technical talk section) ..... maybe I'm missing something, but I didn't get all the warm and fuzzies everyone else spoke of

Yes, some improvement, and I hate to poo-poo on anyone's parade, but just my 0.02

Car in June
  • CDV delete
  • RE trans mounts
  • RE rear shock mounts
  • Total fluid flush and replace
  • Denso O2 sensors (all)
  • OEM fuel pressure regulator/filter
  • OEM heated power seats

Soon...
  • Plugs
  • Air filter

As time and cash permit...
  • RPI scoop and filter kit
  • RE SSK
  • ZHP knob
  • Better brake pads TBD
  • Dice or similar iPod/bluetooth integrator

Admittedly... filters and plugs and fluids are not typical "upgrades" or "mods" but in my case they all are.

Ok let's see. I spent quite a bit of Money on parts but have yet to install lol. I'll thus separate into two lists, purchased and completed.

Completed:
stubby antena
pressure bleeder and completed flush with super blue
ebay clutch stop then replaced with uuc big boy
Hard wired escort passport 9500ix
zpost stickers!!!

Purchased but yet to be installed:
CSL euro headers
ceramic coated jvt headers
kw v3's

Obviously I can't run two sets of headers on my car at once, though if it would gain me even 5 more hp I'd do it. One or both sets are for sale if anyone is interested in doing headers next season. (I was going to do it this season but found out my smog wasn't due this year but next...)
