SSS/Progman services

I installed a copy of SSS/Progman this weekend and programmed my CKM (car-key-memory) settings and activated my alarm. It went pretty smooth, but I do understand why the dealer wants to charge for it. Its a pretty slow process updating the vehicle order.

That said, if anyone in the area wants to tweak the CKM settings or has a retrofit, I'm happy to help. All I ask is you make a donation to make-a-wish foundation or the Ronald McDonald house.

Yeah, but it's not like the tech has to sit there the whole time. They just have to set it and forget it until the update is complete, while they work on another car, right?

I agree with you, charging an hour to hook up your car for 5 minutes is why I bought the cable in the first place.

Yes, the update does run with no interaction once you have your options set.

Interested, but of course I live thousands of miles away. Can you please let me know what you have and what is required to get this for myself?

You can PM me if you want...thanks.

I'm working on a full review/write-up on what is necessary do do-it-yourself.

@TheBroker: I work downtown Seattle, but live across the sound, so need to coordinate if you want to get together. I'm hoping we will have a meet-up here soon, since the weather is getting nice. Let me know what sounds good.

Ok, I am up for whatever as I work on Mercer Island and live in Ballard. I am sure we could arrange a meet up and few would be opposed.
