It's obvious there is only one solution to this problem and I'm shocked no one has mentioned it yet.

Leave him alone and find another spot. If he is new then he doesnt know that you have been parking there for weeks/months/years. DUH!

I run into this problem at work all the time. When I first got my Z4 I found a spot in the parking lot that nobody ever used. It was an end spot next to a curb so I could park well over to one side and protect my car. I used this spot for months and then suddenly every morning when I come to work there is this new car there. I figured OK they just got a new car and want to keep it safe, I understand, so I moved to another spot that is a little further out and has not been used in like a year. I park there every day for several weeks and suddenly every morning someone else is there. This has happened two more times.

I think, since the majority of these 1st shift folks are union, that they think just because I have a nice car that I have a sense of entitlement and they are trying to show me that I don't have a reserved parking spot.

There is nothing you can do about it so why worry about it? Park a 1/2 mile away in the lot if available. If they are really doing it just to irritate you that last thing you want to do is take it up a notch. Anything you say to them will make the whole "entitlement" thing worse.

Parking in a deck sucks. Luckily the deck I park in has areas with bumper poles where you can't park next to the stairwells in the corner - I park on the very edge of the end spot, leaving about a foot between me and the next car while no car can park on the other side. I got the idea from a dude with a 458

I work in an office building where there are lots of professional types, engineers, accountants, business types etc. I too park on an end spot to minimize the risk of door dings. But even in my lot, I've come out every day this week to find my car surrounded on the left and rear by these HUGE pick up trucks. I mean, if these things hit a bus, the bus driver would have to worry more than the truck driver! I think they get a kick out of parking next to me.

No assigned parking spot = NO territory!

This attitude is exactly what is wrong with the world today. Grow up and get a life. You need to realize that it AIN'T all about you!

I'm with ya. Whenever I drive my Z to work, I accept the fact that I'm going to have to choose from what spots are available for parking when I arrive that day. And those guys in the trucks don't park in a way to risk damaging my car, or so close that I can't open the door. It just seems that they think its funny to park such a big truck next to a small sports car.

brought back from the dead thread. I used to have the pick of end spots but now even when I get there early there are crappy cars like a 90's taurus with hail damage parked there... and it is very far from the closest spot to the door. Does not make any sense to me. When in my truck I park as close as possible, and it is not even a beater.
