Has Anyone Replaced Differential Bushings?
Referring to parts 7 and 9 below. Is this a DIY or major PITA and better left for an indy shop?

I replaced it twice....
The first time (the original bushing) was less stuck than I had expected. But I had the rear axle off the car. But if you use the factory tool, that shouldn't make a difference. If you use generic press/pullers space might be an issue. I thought it was a diy job, but I think everything is a diy job. But imho you need a carlift and a transmission jack as the diff has to come out (although I know people who swap z4 diffs on their port without a lift, just on jackstands or so....)

If you have the bmw tool (that allows you to remove it without dropping the subframe), removing and installing the bushing is 15min work or so when the diff is already out.
You place the press tool, and start winding the nut on the threaded bolt of the tool.
