Top Switch Light

When my top is fully down the top light switch keeps blinking. What can I do other than put tape on it or tell people that it is the warning light to inform me that the top is down?

Make sure the top locks as the last step of opening. If it goes all the way down but doesn't lock, the light will keep flashing as the cycle isn't completed.

I have tried pushing down on the top when I assumed it was down and still the light is on. How do I verify it is locked down?

you should hear the motor continue to do things even after the top is fully down. Keep the button down until you dont hear it doing anything. If it stops making noise and still is flashing, you may have another problem

Hi Nate, I tried to hold the button down for about 15 - 20 seconds after the top was assumed down and still the light is blinking on and off.

BTW where in Greece are you located? My parents were Greek and I have been there about 5 times.

If you have a preface lift car you have the "latch" feature that post facelift cars had removed. When the top is down... Press down on the top and see if it latches... I've had the flashing light and have used both methods.. Pushing down and holding button to to get rid of it... After awhile it stopped doing it.

If that isn't doing it, and Clearancediver's idea isn't working either, you may have another issue that you need a mechanic to look at.

I'm in Athens. I just work here temporarily.
