Fuel/Evap Problem

Hello everyone,

So, I've had my e85 3.0i for about eight months now. Most things have been pretty good so far, nothing major yet.

The only thing that seems to keep happening is the fuel tank/evap warning light coming on intermittently. I've read a few of the threads and have narrowed it down to a sensor of sorts: Diagram.

On the diagram, people keep mentioning sensor #3 (Leak Diagnosis Pump).

I've replaced the fuel cap, and it made no difference, light keeps coming on. Figured I'd start there, because it's a known problem.

Any ideas? Can you scan this w/o going to the stealership? No CEL thrown on the car ever.

Thanks!

Forgot to mention that it didn't come on until after winter. Yes, I did drive the car in MN during the winter a couple times!

My issue is that I'm getting the CEL for 'very small evap leak' anyone have experience with this? Other than a smoke test a place to start inspecting?
