Do you guys have maybe a list of basic, to medium, to hardcore builds, and with listed prices for required parts/labor? I'd like to see future build possibilities, including hp/tq goal vs. pricing @ Lutz

Absolutely, I will most definitely have that footage for myself even since she will be going back to Cali when she's done

Today's work!

Heat shield/catch for the "ram air"

Not sure who thought it was a good idea to use only the oil dipstick as a support for this intake manifold, so here's what I came up with as a better solution. Also serves as a holder for the dipstick and fuel pressure regulator

Fixed. lol jk

I was going to shoot them an e-mail. But there's something about being blatantly ignored that tickles my nerves and has me saying: "challenge accepted."
That, and I'm slightly bored.

Sorry to be kinda a dick here but we build CUSTOM one off setups, this isn't a kit where I say here by stage 1 or stage 2 ... we just don't work that way. It isn't lets spend lots of money to have something different just for the hell of it either. There's a reason each and every piece was chosen for this build, and with each piece was a lengthy discussion between Trevor, Marcus, Andrew, and myself. We don't offer a here buy this, we offer something built to each individual customer. I spent 4-5 hours working on the basic parts list and quote for Z4-Villalona, and that's just to give him a ballpark price with the hardware he wishes to use. You can double or triple that amount of time I will spend just working on a complete parts list and quote for a build like this to get it rolling. If he doesn't follow through with his build, 4-5 hours of my time is pretty valuable just to throw away from another tire kicker. The amount of emails, phone calls, and stop by's I get (and I don't typically deal with customers either) let alone the one's Andrew gets asking how much is this or how much is that. If you don't have the time to give us a call, email, or come by and see us to sit down and price out the setup you are looking for, I don't have hours to spend throwing out generic price quotes for no reason, there simply isn't enough time in the day. Earlier in the thread I gave a price range of what I think an adequate Z4M setup could be done for, from basic get the job done with custom hardware up to the Mac Daddy like Trevor's, expect 18-30k. Sorry if that's not good enough for you, when you're ready for the next step in possibly going forward with a build please let us know

Shawn, I will be down in the tampa area Thursday the 26th for Gasparilla weekend and am interested in stopping by your shop if you have the z4m in and are willing to let me check it out. Do you do appointments only, or can I stop by without one? Thanks

I know how difficult it can be to get the ball rolling. I think the kit is worth it ...some may jusy be indecisive.

No prob. I expected nothing more. lol you do know that catering to potential "tire-kickers" is what it takes to better your odds of sales right? Businesses thrive or fail on this basis of supply and demand. You make it seem like you're doing us (the potential customers) a HUGE favor by providing a quote list of parts/labor...Are you kidding me? Suck it up dude! You can't possibly complain about the time it takes to quote for a potential sale; that's just unprofessional. It's part of the job, and it's expected of you. It's simple: do you want sales or not? You can do much better business-wise without that kind of attitude. And you obviously had enough time to shoot back a useless reply..I'm sure with your expertise in the field, you should be able to come up with a price list in a short amount of time..Haven't you guys done many a builds? Shouldn't you already be familiar with the different tiers of hardware that can potentially be applied to any given new build? Even @ 4 hours for one quote, that's still plenty good odds if you can bank AT LEAST $18k right? Just saying.

Anyway, g'luck with all of your builds.
Not saying that I can't appreciate what you guys are doing, but at that price range, and with that kind of condescending customer-service attitude/mindset, you've lost me as a customer completely. I suppose I just kicked your tire. Umadbro?

And to think I'd been putting aside a hefty amount of funding for a turbo app...What a bummer. Could've been yours!

While I can agree that quoting a job of any kind is expected for a potential customer.....there is ALSO a certain amount of expectation from a dealer/fabricator that the said potential customer be seasoned on their grasp of such a projects baseline costs and time-line.

There should be no "Tire-kickers" at this level of project. Thats why I feel his Minimum -Maximum bid should be good enough to qualify a fellow and then the details can be hashed out after a deposit.

He's obviously willing to go the extra mile for service. No need to bust balls here for holding true to careful considerations of components.

this is just wrong. One thing not tolerated here is false advertising.....btw this has absolutely nothing to do with the turbo build i just thought it would be good to direct some attention to this....
