Love this car

Well I've had the coupe for a year now and can't get over how much I love it. Feels great to own a car that still stirs me emotionally just as much today as it did 12 months ago.

What I love most is the exclusivity. I spent the weekend up in Portland, Oregon and didn't see a single one the entire time. In fact, I haven't seen a single other coupe in the past 12 months. I saw Teslas, Bentleys, Ferraris countless Porsches etc etc, but not a single coupe.

I know, some of you are probably laughing but you have to admit the coupes are head turners.

Now, if this damn N52 would idle smoothly and stop throwing codes I'd be in great shape.

no... n52. My coupe is an si, not the M. throwing codes for running rich on both banks and maf. Already done some research... swapped back to stock air filter and cleaned maf, need to replace spark plugs still.

I live in Portland, drivin a red coupe. You're right, there are none up here. There used to be a dark grey one... gorgeous car, but haven't seen it around for a while. Are you going on the Leavenworth Drive?

When is it? And I guess the real question is where? LOL, I'm not very good with all the Northern Oregon cities and areas.

I was dating a girl up there when I first bought the car and she used to drive it most of the time... she would send me pics whenever she saw another one, that's why I thought I might actually see some. Oh well, nice to stand out from the ever widening sea of 3 and 5 series.

Hey Asianoak,

Some how I didn't see your reply until just now even though I'm on here every day. The Leavenworth Drive happened on June 14th. It's a ton of fun. There are some great vids on youtube "Leavenworth Drive" is all you need to find a bunch.

I live in OC, CA and have only seen one other one other than at the track. Told my friend how rare they were and they keep seeing them... Maybe I am too focused on the thrill of driving this car.

Where in OC do you mostly hang out? I hardly seen any coupe around. I've seen a black one running around UCI, but that's about it.

I gotta admit, I saw a Z Coupe parked on the way home the other day and I was pissed.

This car is awesome... definitely something special.

I live in Cypress but will be attending UCI coming Fall. Chances are ill be driving a gold odyssey more than the M. But if you see white/red thats prob me.

That's funny... I grew up in Cypress. I would think you'd see quite a few more coupes down there than we see up here in the P Northwest. BMWs were the Honda Civic of Orange County when I lived there.... guess that would make the Z the uhm... S2000?

Haha what are the chances. Most people in the area dont even know that small city unless they know people that live there. Surprisingly never seen one driven on the road yet. (Coupes e86) i cant even remember the last time ive seen a roadster M other than my friend's

I'm up in Bend now, Redmond to be exact and there's at least one M roadster here... But no coupes. Was in Medford over the holiday weekend and my indie said there are a few M roadsters and one M coupe down there. So shocked you're not seeing more in good ol Cypress. Although down there it did always seem like everybody was just trying to be like everybody else and not trying to be unique... Hence the thousands of 3 series and zero e86s.
