I'm basically stock. Just intake and mufflers.

I would recommend changing out your fuel filter if you're car has higher miles . Any codes stored in the ECU ?

This thread died without a response. gmd2003 was this fuel related? Did your limp mode ever reoccur?

Thanks

He did post a reply, said his problem turned out to be undersized injectors. This makes sense to me based on my time spent in the STi forums, where folks would need bigger injectors when bolting on bigger turbos.

General note: Lean condition on boosted engine = excellent way to break expen$ive part$.

I can tell you the larger injectors and newer tune completely solve the limp mode issue. I was getting it multiple time per track day, and have not had it since in 3 or more days. However overheating is still a big issue, despite larger oil cooler, colder plugs, and Zion radiator. I need something more here. Possibly it is related to the removal of the air box allowing too much air to bypass the radiator. I'm still trying stuff. Will report back, but I'm not rolling much ATM. Partly due to the supercharger belt self destructing, but mostly due to me being lazy about getting her fixed.

Ok thanks.

This issue just popped up last weekend at the track on my NA Z4m. My first thought was fuel. I need to check pressure and I'll probably put a filter in and retest. I have no engine mods (all brakes and suspension) so bigger injectors would probably not be as much of a possibility for me.

Yep the bigger injectors 100% fixed the FI induced limp mode on track for me as well . If you are having the same issue I'd check the fuel filter first and if that's never been changed replace it , as a clogged filter could be an issue even on an NA car .
