can't wait to get mine on.
I was thinking you could put a spacer under the hangar where the X-pipe bolts to the plate. Or, bend the bracket a little on the x-pipe to adjust clearance. That should lift it over the edge of the plate.

Nice work!
Thought you were trying to reverse your miles ala Ferris Bueller in Vid #2. I didn't really notice a LOT of sound change with the SS Xpipe. I thought it would either be louder, have a bit of rasp or drone ... But nada. Maybe the RE ones are built a little different? If I REALLY put my ear into it, I would say the SS's are 5% louder than stock (Under idle and normal load). And for sure there's more linear power towards the top. Good job on your install/review |

Bet that would work. I wasnt in that clear of mind anyway because my GF kicked me out for good and that sucked. So a lot on my mind today plus the car.

Sorry to hear that. At least you have some Apex ARC-8's on the way... and a kick-ass car.

Yep the car helps. Getting old(41). Don't need to be starting over again after 3 years. UGH. Maybe the x-pipe was meant to be and she wasn't. It helps to have a community of enthusiasts to talk to and kill time instead of idle thought.

Eh, tell yourself she'll age like milk. Pull a fresh one off the back of the rack; go younger. Love advice with pokeybritches.

Yeah I've had to move 7 times in 5 years (9 total in my lifetime), so I feel like him a lot. Look at it this way: now you can look at whoever you want and all the single girls are opportunities; your money is yours to spend on whatever you'd like; and if you want to sit around in sweats all day and drink beer, she's not there to nag. I'd also recommend joining a gym if you don't work out already. You'll see progress, and it will help you take your mind off of things. After a few months you'll be able to "trade up."

Now back on subject, if you were to get this again, would you? I was about to pull the trigger and now I am a bit hesitant. Need honest opinion here from a few people that have bought and installed RE X-pipe. Thanks

^ I can't really say until I install it, but it's not abnormal to have to tweak an exhaust install.
On my SS sytem on my old raodster we actually had to heat up the pipe on one side of the X to make it work right. I'll post my impressions on this RE X-pipe in about 3weeks.

I'm not sure if the piping of the RE X-pipe inner diameter is same as stock or not
if it's the same, would it be the same if i just get a muffler shop to chop off the stock resonator and replace it with straight piping??? ***never mind, just figure out the stock piping is not perfectly round***

The stock crossover pipe is 2 1/4" piping. However, since it's crimped from the output of the X-pipe section to the mufflers, it is effectively less than that...probably closer to 2 1/8" or 2".
After market crossover pipes, whether from RE or SS, appear to be 2 1/4" from end to end. ---M

Wondering for those that have installed, have you noticed any new noises? Mine seems to pop a lot when heating up and cooling down. Its like I can hear the metal expanding and contracting a lot more than with the stock pipe. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this. It goes away when she's warmed up a little,

It's installed but I haven't had any run time on it yet.
...I can confirm the same install issue with the right pipe at the support plate. Not major issue, but it is a design flaw IMO.
