Estimate to get this scratch fixed?

There is a car I'm looking at now but in the pictures they are showing a scratch in the front bumper. I'm just wondering how much you think it would cost to fix this? It looks deep and a little over an inch long. Picture attached.

I believe to be done properly, the front bumper has to come off, sanded, fixed and then repainted and clear coated. Expect to drop 400-500. Better yet you can get your deflectors filled in while they are at it and get your money worth.

If you want a quick fix, wetsand + dr colorchip?

Else I agree, full bumper respray typically costs bet $300 and $500, with the latter obviously being a more quality job.

I bought a carproof and carfax report on this car and it does show a collision with another vehicle. There are no more details than that but other than that the car looks mint and has had regular servicing at BMW dealerships.

Does this scratch look like it could be caused by a minor accident with another vehicle? If i knew that this scratch was from the collison reported to the carfax and no other damage was done I wouldn't mind it. A collision that creates a scrach that small would not hurt the frame of the car would it?

Also does most inspections easily notice if a frame is bent from a previous accident?

I don't really see how a collision with another vehicle would create a small scratch like that though..to me it seems like it would be bigger with more rubbing. I guess I shouldn't bother with a car that was in any accident.
