For Sale: 2007 Z4 3.0si Coupe

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
This 2007 Coupe is blue with black interior and wood trim. It has 33k miles on it and is in excellent condition. It is smoke & accident free. The factory BMW warranty & maintenance plan is good through October 2012 and it has new tires. It's a 6-speed manual with every option except for the M seats. Selling price is $23k. There may be cheaper cars out there, but with this car you'll have the peace of mind that goes with not having to sink a penny into it other than gas & insurance for the next two years.

The car has been a blast, but I now have a deposit down on a 1M, so this car has got to go.

Best of luck with the sale. If you don't mind, could let me know what you get for it when it sells. I have an 07 Coupe (with 20K more miles than yours). While I'm not selling mine I like to keep an idea of what it's worth and could use your selling price as an upper bound...

Love the car, could you email me your ph# at craigsutherland at gmail dot com?

Been looking for something like this in Canada for months, and finally expanding search to the US.
Cheers.

You won't find a 3.0 si Coupe in Canada unless it was previously imported.
Canada got the M variant only.

BTW US purchase is a breeze, I imported mine.

OP, good luck with the sale.

I imported my 3.0si roadster and here is what I recall, off the top of my head:
  1. Have the daytime running lights turned on. That can be programmed, but if you get a US dealer to do it, be clear that you want the full low beam headlight turned on. Most US dealers will only enable the angel eyes. Be clear that you want Canadian spec lights.
  2. Have the odometer changed to display in kilometers driven.
  3. You will need a letter from a BMW dealer certifying that all recalls have been done on the car. Those can cost around $500. Yuck!!
  4. Your paperwork must be at the border crossing no less than 72 hours before the car is to enter Canada.
  5. For peace of mind, consider using a certified customs broker to handle the paperwork. Mine charged me $300 and beleive me, it was well worth it and chump change compared to the total investment to get one of these. PM me if you want my broker's name.
And when the dealer is programming the running lights and odometer, you can also get him to enable three flash lane change, doors to lock at 10 mph and coordinate the remote keys to memory positions 1 and 2 for the power memory seats.

Canadian Tire will likely do two inspections on your car. First is the general inspection for Canadian standards. My car had to have the daytime running lights and the odometer in kilometers. Your speedometer is okay as long as it displays kilometers per hour, even if it is in the smaller sized numbers alongside the larger mph numbers, as is the case with US cars. The second inspection is a general mechanical inspection where they check its roadworthiness, brakes, exhaust, tires, suspension etc. If your car is in good shape, that should be no worry.

Final step - enjoy!!!

Allon-Y!

I'd be interested in hearing how your (now sold) Z4 Coupe compares to the 1M once it arrives. Any impressions/comparisons you could share here would be appreciated.
